Taylor Financial Planning is an advice-only, personal financial planning consulting business. I charge by the hour and not by the transaction or amount of money you have.
My focus is on providing basic financial plans and answering your questions. This is to help you better understand your financial situation and determine where you can make improvements and changes to help you prepare for life's needs.
Whether that's planning for your children's college education or your own retirement - it's all about what's best for you and your family.

How long have you been in business?
Since 2007, but since 2009 as a licensed financial planner in Maryland.
What is your primary product or service?
Personal financial advice by the hour.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After taking a pension buyout from HP in 2007, I took 18 months of financial planning classes through the College for Financial Planning. I passed the November 2008 CFP exam and the September 2009 Series 65 financial advisor exam.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Most financial advisers focus on investments and usually sell financial products like mutual funds or insurance. Others may provide assets under management services where they charge a percentage of your assets for them to managed your accounts. I only provide personal financial advice by the hour and do not have any other fees. I do not make any outside commissions and only work for you.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have a home office, but I primarily make house calls or meet you where you feel comfortable like a coffee shop.

Currently, just personal checks.

I am licensed in the state of Maryland, but I primarily focus on Carroll & Frederick counties. I am also alowed to have a small number of clients in other states.
